The Aim:
This business relations training has been created to help resolve the commonly found interpersonal workplace friction.

From my experience in business, counselling, and life in general, I have discovered that people don’t automatically know how to negotiate, push back, loan power and be honest with themselves and others. I have also discovered that it is often not because they don’t want to, but more because they don’t know how.

Hence this training is aimed to be extremely practical, interactive, and even a little bit fun at times.

Symptoms of unhealthy business relations include:
High Employee Turnover | Pretend Agreements | Passive Aggressiveness | Manipulation | Anger or Shouting Matches | Resentment Towards the Boss, Clients, or Employees | Blurring of Personal and Business Boundaries | Not Able to Say ‘No’ or Scared to Say ‘Yes’ | Lying | Uncooperativeness | Depression | Constant Criticism | Feelings of Powerlessness

This is no "positive thinking lets all love trees and hug each other" seminar. This six hour workshop directly addresses the underlying assumptions that are the root cause of these problems. This is done with six 30 minute lectures followed by a 30 minute practical component in each. Depending on what the exact needs are, times can vary.

The effects of this training should leave the staff and boss/manager both feeling in control of their work lives and comfortable to confront and question each other when necessary. The workplace should feel safer, more enjoyable, calmer, and be more productive.

Topics (1.5hrs/topic)
• Balance of Power
• Negotiation and Assertiveness Skills
• Boundaries – What is yours and what is mine?
• Dealing with Crazy Makers
• Honesty Does Pay – In the Long Run!
• Encouragement – The Language of Lasting Motivation

(See the program for more details.)

Note:
Every team is different. My aim to provide a custom built interactive training session for your workplace. Before I even get started I provide a 1 hour trouble shooting session with ‘the boss’ to find out what the team needs most so I can provide an accurate remedy.

I also expect that ‘the boss’ or ‘bosses’ will attend the training and participate as part of the team. This is part of the values that I am pushing and it simply won’t work without that kind of co-operation.

If you have any questions or would like to have some different topics addressed just let me know.
