| Description: | Our subconscious is a complicated thing. It tends to bunch things together. It's how our mind works to keep things simple. However, this isn't always helpful. It is typical for the subconscious mind to find it difficult to tell the difference between God, your parents, and your spouse - particularly when it comes to issues related to nurture, love, and care. I am not sure why this is exactly but it could be because they are all things in our life that are there day in and day out. Aspects of our life that we can take forgranted. It could be because we learn from our parents what love should look like. Perhaps this becomes our default definition of how to love and how people love. This is fine when things are all rosy with our parents, but if we either misinterpret events in child hood, or have a broken experience of love as children we then can find it extraordinarily difficult to give or experience love from our spouse or Creator later in life. It can leave our relationships feeling dry or superficial. This isn't how it should stay. The trick here is a careful revision of the beliefs laid down as a child about these defaults then laying down some new redefining and distinguishing beliefs to help sort fact from fiction and to unblur the lines between what was our childhood experience and what we have in the here and now. http://newinsight.co.nz/counselling-resources/the-mind-and-gods-love.html Hey! Yeah, I would love to thanks! Things are going well. Frantic – of course, and baby is frantic let alone a little mini premi one J. I trust Christopher looked after you guys well?! I am happy to do any of those topics. Vulnerable God is a good self esteem faith building message. If you are asking me to make the final call – I would go for that. September the 12th is good for me. What time does the service start? What time would you like me there? Here’s hoping that all is well and that you are finding having a new addition to the family a real blessing. I’m planning ahead and was wondering whether you still like an opportunity to speak at our Wave Youth Service. We’ve completed our Hot Topics series, but looking at some of the things that you speak on, the following jumped out at me: Bob the Victim; UnEmo in a Nutshell; Vulnerable God; King Lies along with some others. We have the 12th and 26th Sept and 3rd and 10th Oct available. Let me know if you’re keen. Kind regards and blessings:-D Debbie Bossé Children and Youth Ministries (09) 478 9549/ 027 7111 933 HYPERLINK "http://www.waveyouth.org.nz" www.waveyouth.org.nz Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned.
